Personal Information

Dr. Barker teaches Logic Circuit Design courses and is developing World Wide Web based instructional material for his circuit design laboratory class. He has worked with industry to develop these circuit design courses so that the studen ts integrate the design components into larger units emphasing manufacturing and product development. This cour se material will be available for the students at the UConn regional campuses an d the Community Technical Colleges.

Currently Keith Barker is the Director of the Institute for Teaching and Learning at the University. This is a position with UConn-wide responsibilities to improve teaching by faculty and teaching assistants and to enhance learning throughout the institution.

Professional Activities

Professor Barker is actively involved in the Computer Science Accreditation Board (CSAB) and is a past chair of CSAC. He is also a member of the Educational Activities Board of the IEEE Computer Society.
